CASE STUDY - Just married booth
JustMarriedBooth (Paris) — Building an AI photobooth ceremony and its award-winning website
Product design, AI-powered app development, 3D avatars, sound design and a cinematic WordPress website for JustMarriedBooth, an AI photobooth experience in Paris. Guests answer playful questions, choose an AI theme and leave with printed photos, a certificate and a ring box. Morpheon built the application that runs every unattended booth, and the website that sells the experience.

TIMELINE
Product specification → Experience design → 3D avatars & sound → App & back office development → Website → Website launch (July 2026) → On-site validation → Booth rollout (November 2026)
The challenge
A photobooth is simple. A ceremony run entirely by software, with no staff on site, is not. Every session had to move from the first question to the ring box without a hitch, while keeping the warmth of a real ritual. And before a single booth opened, the brand needed a website charming enough to turn a novelty into a must-do Paris experience.

Our role
Morpheon provided an end-to-end service, from product and experience design to the booth application, back office, 3D world, sound and website.
SCOPE OF WORK
3D Avatars & Motion Graphics
Custom toon-shaded avatars, including Reggie, the master of ceremonies, with animated sets and a motion language shared by the booth and the website. Their look is a deliberate choice. Every avatar was built to Decentraland's avatar specifications, from proportions and skeleton to polygon and texture budgets, because a second phase of the project will let guests take their avatar with them into Decentraland. Those limits shaped the style: clean silhouettes, simple materials and expressive animation instead of heavy detail, so the same characters feel at home in the booth today and in a virtual world tomorrow.

Experience
Experience Design.
Guided, playful screens for an unattended booth, from the first question to the ring box, and a website structured around a four-step walkthrough, audiences, FAQ and press.
Music & Sound Design.
An original jazz-blues theme, sound effects for every step of the ceremony and AI voice-overs in English and French, so each session plays in the guest's language.

Booth application
App Development w/ AI.
The application that runs every booth: ceremony flows, quiz screens, AI photo themes and transformations, certificates and digital photo delivery by QR code, integrated with printers, cashless payment, the ring dispenser and alarms.
Web App Development.
A back office for themes, AI prompts, coupons, sessions and maintenance mode, and an operations dashboard with admin, operator and viewer roles, per-machine revenue, classified alerts and CSV export.
Website
WordPress Website.
A cinematic, scroll-driven website built with GSAP and Three.js and hosted on Google Cloud, with full-screen video, custom motion and a countdown to the locations, plus a launch video in English and French.

Every screen is part of the ceremony
JustMarriedBooth only works if guests forget they are using software. So we treated every element as part of the same ritual: the questions, the AI themes, Reggie's voice, the music, the printed certificate and the ring box. Deep red and warm amber give the brand a tone that is romantic without being solemn, a Parisian wink rather than a wedding album. Page 3 of 5English The website uses the same rhythm to build anticipation before guests ever step inside. Playful on the surface, rigorous underneath.
When the experience is the product, the technology has to disappear into the story.

Behind
the scenes
Before the first ceremony, there were flow maps, avatar sketches, sound tests, prompt iterations, Figma screens and an on-site validation session with the manufacturer.

LESSONS LEARNED
Every project changes how we work. This one showed what it takes to turn software, hardware and storytelling into a single, joyful experience.
LESSON 1
Unattended means nothing can be left to chance
Without staff on site, every edge case becomes a design question. A paper jam, a declined payment or an empty ring dispenser must be handled by the flow itself, and reported to the team in real time.
LESSON 2
World-building is part of the product
Avatars, music, voice and copy are not decoration. They are what turns a booth into a ceremony, and they deserve the same care as the code.

LESSON 3
The website opens before the doors do
For a new concept, the website is the first experience of the brand. Launching it early builds anticipation, press interest and recognition before the first guest arrives.
LESSON 4
AI should feel like magic, not like a tool
Guests never see prompts or models. We use AI where it creates a moment of surprise, and keep every step around it simple, guided and reliable.
